Reevo79 3
Taken on a job for someone recently and have had no joy catching the moles with the scissor traps as they keep filling up with soil, which is quite sandy. I think it is down more to the soil type than the traps itself as catching plenty on the scissor traps at my local golf course. I was wondering if the Talpa mole trap would be a good addition to my trap armoury as this works on the trap being triggered through the soil being pushed through. Has anyone bought any traps from Magnum traps? Any thoughts cheers Reevo. Quote Link to post
120-2 8
The traps are excellent and a worthwhile addition to your armoury when trapping in lose or sandy soil. Quote Link to post

davedavedave 69
I just bought a cheap platic garden sieve (£1.50) to riddle the soil once I have set my Talpex and Talpa traps to ensure no stones or clods drop in when I fill the trap in with soil. Worked well today as I accounted for a problem mole with a Talpex trap Quote Link to post
budgie123 163
I just bought a cheap platic garden sieve (£1.50) to riddle the soil once I have set my Talpex and Talpa traps to ensure no stones or clods drop in when I fill the trap in with soil. Worked well today as I accounted for a problem mole with a Talpex trap After the weather broke last winter i had trouble catching moles in duffus traps the moles were continually filling traps with soil.I purchased some talpex traps and caught 19 moles in 3 weeks in them.As the ground dried out and the moles were not clearing as much soil duffus traps out caught the talpex traps.
