Taken from UK Column website.       Every idiot they roll out this morning to comment on yesterday's continuing treasonous attack on the British people has said "we must pay down the deficit."

oh so the dockers ruined the shipping industries funny that as Liverpool still is the 3rd largest port in Europe , containers closed more ports than any strikes and the inability of ports to accept

"After 3 years of labour the country is inthe shit. " try thirteen years JD, Mrs T f**k#d the unions good and proper and a lot of people were very sympathetic to the cause, tired of all the cushy jobs

Well if your wife(Labour)spents too much on the credit card, do you continue spending or do you make cuts to pay off the bill?

People are moaning about the cuts and it affect everyone. So should we go back to Labour and pretend everything is fine and continue spending?

They could make cuts by not sending the police helicopter for shoplifters! :wallbash:

There are 101 problems to sort out.

Public sector with.500,000 too many employees, but where will they find other jobs?

Countless people in London earning big money and living in or sub letting council houses, especially big amongst immigrants.

People on long term disability and other benefits, who just don't want to work, sucking dry out taxes.

Women pumping out kids for more benefits.

All that and human rights laws that will probably ham string any policy required to fix things.

35 billion a year in foriegn aid, ringfenced. 42 million per DAY on the EU, set to increase, and yet they target benefits, now we see the reason why they allowed mass immigration. . .to end the welfare state.

Cynical but true this load of bandits will make life shit for everyone but themselves just like any other government.

I am no fan of the Tory party, however I do agree with them probably 85-90% that significant cuts NEED to be implemented sooner rather than later, even though it puts my job at risk. No doubt as ALL political parties do they will cock some of the process up and the poorer in society will feel the results more sharply, exactly the same as it would happen under New Labour.

Annual income twenty pounds, annual expenditure nineteen six, result happiness. Annual income twenty pounds, annual expenditure twenty pound ought and six, result misery.

Applies to individuals, businesses and governments. In my opinion nothing should be ring fenced, every department should at least be up for discussion. It is morally reprehensible to burden future generations with any more debt, they already will have enough to shoulder when it is time for them to enter whatever world of work exists for them in the future.

It is our fault, us here working and living in the UK now, we stood by and did little to prevent successive governments, banks, businesses and individuals from living beyond their means for far too long. We need to take responsibility and either stump up the extra money or accept whatever cuts come our way, they won't be fair but then life never is, I am not saying that is right but unfortunately under the present political and financial system that is how the cookie crumbles for us proles. Only revolution will change that.

What sort of world we leave for our children / grandchildren is often mused over and debated, but from a shortsighted (imho) viewpoint focused only on the planet, environment, animal species and natural resources. The question is rarely asked as to what sort of political / financial future we are sowing the seeds for now.

10 billion per year foreign aid roughly.

I think the welfare state will eventually turn us stagnant if it is left in it's present unaffordable form.
