my mate i done that when we were knee high :) .. we had great sport although it took a while for his collie to figure out that he was supposed to catch them... never done it all that often because all we had was one of those old square box lamps that was more of a flood light... but when the dog figured out what he was supposed to do, we thought it was great!! never ran him at anything else although we would have if the chance arose..

I wouldnt recomend it, all it will do is wise up the rabbits that escape and lets face it most will......If its something you want to try then go a head but it will only make your life harder.....makeing the rabbits on your permision more lamp shy ;)

I admit they will pick up a couple off rough scrub and long grass but when rabbits are on short grass they really do fly even on the lamp  When they straight line on a golf course even lurchers struggle and they are bred to run. So a collie wouldnt even come close especially on lamp shy rabbits where longer slips are all that is available.
