well i dont think the farmer will want your dogs running all over his strawberries so get yourself a decent gun and use your ferrets and nets

were working the orchards first so he said theres no problems with the dogs.... shame you could never lamp the place as its absolutely HUGE.... and plenty of rabbits hopefully this willl lead to more and more permission!!!

I used to run orchards and strawberry beds with bull terriers and lurcher and had some success. Plenty of foxes in my orchards and badgers too. Lots of summer work though as the pigs used to chew through the irrigation when it got dry. Great fun, but not many easy catches.

Get stuck in.

Make the most of the back end .

All of the soft fruit should be finished.

Dogs through the middle. Then ferret around the edges of the field.

Let the farmer know what your plans are just to cover yourself

GOOD LUCK

"CAN I ASK WHY"..YOU TWO ARE TAKING THE PISS AINT YA? I have seen first hand what lamping through trees does to lurchers, broken shoulders, smashed necks and 9 times out of 10 those are enough to have the dog put down.. :wallbash:

id no intention of lamping it! was thinking of setting the longnet some night though... am goina ring him tomorrow safest to just ask about the dogs :gunsmilie:
