doris 6
as the topic and description says what do you use to carry your long nets in? Cheers hello doris . i use heavy duty tightly woven sack bags which i cut down each side to half way down from the top,[ the width of shoulder strap ] ,the inner top part of the sack is then cut off ,[looking like a womans hang bag ] and a bagging needle and thin string used to join both side ends together at the top and run down side, across half sacking and up other side to centre shoulder. hope ya can work that out ?. when i have gathered net in on end irons i turn my back to the wind with the sack strap around my neck hanging down my front, open the sack with one hand and let the bagging hanging off the irons fall into the sack bag . hope this is a bit of use to you.......just a thought i`ve come across some sacks are bigger than others so use the top opening part of the sack as part of the shoulder strap to make it longer , a bit more blanket stiching but you can always make it shorter later if needed. i still use the old way and not quick set and my pegs/rods/poles are usualy hazel and measured from under armpit to tips of fingers + a hand ....have fun mush/mush`ess....cheers ray . Sushi, thanks for the reply, however kinda finding it hard to decipher. Ah well! Rgds Doris (Mush) Quote Link to post
