I've just found a load of rat holes in an over grown part of my garden. There are alot of greenhouses about with holes inside and outside. I've just been up there and put a ferret in, bolted one from inside a greenhouse but couldn't shoot the bugger because of all the glass. I don't think terriers would be any good becuase the rats would just disappear in the undergrowth ( I may be wrong ). I can't put poison down because of all the animals so is there any other way anyone could suggest for doing the job without me having to buy any rat traps or strimming the jungle that is my garden. Just smoke em out buddy, and set the dogs on them! Otherwise the problem aint guna go, Im sure the foulage isn't going to bother the terriers.

cheers mate, ive never used terriers so i wasnt sure if they would just lose sight in the waist high grass, stingers and brambles?

You can purse net them if mesh small enough, have read about it not seen it! Might be be a laugh

make sure the terriers are ferret friendly or use the smoker

Set a fen trap they work 24/7 till the cover dies down then you will see the full extent of the problem.

put hessian bags over holes smoke em out into bags then hit them with a fecking big stick, problem solved

traps would keep the numbers down . then either get a strimmer into the cover or wait till the frost does the job. put some live catch family traps down pre bait em then set em

when they lose sight thats when the dogs nose comes into play
