westhougton dog track

Recommended Posts

Had a bit of a different day on sunday afternoon than what my dogs are normally used to... The woman in the pics is a freind of ours, and wanted to try her dog

out at running. its the brindle dog in the pics, its 11mth old and is akerybluexbullxgreyhound...And it has some power! Anyway she mithered myself and loftie to

g along with her. Incidently she used to worked there, looking after the greyhounds, and runing her own..

It was a good day, and we had a good laugh. The people who run the event were lovely folk, and made you feel real welcome... they are off here...

They let us have as many runs as we liked on the hare.... there was a raffle and a bit of nice banter...If you are in the area and fancy a bash, get down there,

any kind of dog welcome to try and run....

Hiya :D

Glad you all had a good day!

Sorry we was late and a bit disorganised but it had been quiet past few weeks and we'd strolled in!

Piks are fab! I'll bring my kit next time you come and get you some action shots  I've emailed Roy to see if I can get hold of his photos.

Your dogs were brill and took to racing really well for the first attempt and they seemed to love every moment of it!

We're not racing this sunday as we rent the track and most of the club members are racing at a whippet racing event at Highgate.

Sunday 31st October is our racing open. Experienced bend racing lurchers can enter the open (must have run clean, in company on a greyhound track with muzzle etc) for those who want to trial, your welcome to come but you might have a bit of a wait to get a trial with the racing going on as well.

The racing starts at 1pm which anyone is welcome to come along and watch.

Normal club racing will resume the Sunday after for those who want to have a go. Further details are in the events section which I'll update but I'll send a text to those who gave me their numbers.

Does this mean Enzo gets to see his lovely Layla again?
