Had a shock yesterday

Recommended Posts

I live in an area where the only deer which roam our forests , moors, and meadows are ROE Deer...

In the last 2 years i have seen and pictured, montjac deer, sika deer, red deer and now these Fallow deer.. All these in lancashire....

About 2 yrs ago i came acrross a herd of about 14 fallow deer(brown) not to far from my house. If i ever mentioned it, people just dismissed it, as if i hadnt

seen them....I never did see them again but have only been back twice, and only bushed the wood once...

Now i reguarly photograph Roe deer from the front bedroom window and more! Yesterday however, i was coming down from the back on my house.(i have all the permission

on the farms up there). It wasnt as if these animals caught my eye! They were stood right in front of me.. Luckily(for this instance) the dogs were very close by,

as we had just finished the session, i grabbed them and leaded them up, noses had just gone into sniffing the air..I only had my mobile with me(which does take very

good pics).. So i snapped and snapped these great looking animals. Yes i had seen fallow deer before in different areas around the country but none stood right at

the back of my house, and on my own permission....

I went home did what i had to do, then went back with the big camera, in the hope that they will still be there, and they werent just passing through the area...

They werent their, so i stomped the fields(seemed strange without the dogs) and headed for a deep revine where i sight many fox etc.. As i approached, i lay down

and crawled to the edge. And "yes" they were there grazing, not 30ft away from me. I took some snaps, altho i didnt have long, they were on to me in seconds, they

soon moved away, and then after a minute or so, ran off. Only down to a little clough of trees at the back of the farm, where they could go totally unnoticed for

a very long time. I am now hoping they stay on, as very very few folk frequent this land. And with there being a male already preasent, i can only hope that they find a female

their offspring in the surrounding area....hope you enjoy the pics as much as i enjoyed finding them.... Atb.

the 1st 3 pics are the ones i got on my mobile..

Tell me something..... see all the folk in them houses, what do they think when they see you crawling about the fields??? And why would anyone in their right mind want to BROADCAST this find on an open form!!!

as he said "AT THE BACK OF HIS HOUSE ON OWN PERMISSION" so they are his neighbours and they will see him regular

whats wrong with that????

or do you need to learn to read

and why not post about spotting some not very common deer??on your own permission

he wasnt running them he was just taking some piccs.

dose that tell you????

probably not no.gifblink.gif

One thing to say, thats what people who also watch wildlife do, post on forums, chat, and generally enjoy life. Now feed the bear, go away, and dont ruin yet another post... What the hell does it matter to you, you must be so bored... Why dont you get out and do a bit...

p.s. I wasnt crawling around on the floor....

Yea moby, your right pal... No chavs.
