blacta 0
Im gettin a bit frustrated, yes i may be 17 and there have been problems with firearms earlier in the year but 7 months and they still havnt finished the process. I got a letter mid August telling me that i had been granted my FAC and i had to get my cabinet now, duly a week later i called them so they could return to inspect it and give the final verdict but i have not heard anything since. There is nothing wrong with my record, land i want to shoot, my whole family has SC's, so i cant see a problem. Does anyone have any advice on speeding up the process, when i have called to ask if we could make some progress they got all moody about how much work they have but 7 MONTHS! really? They are supposed to close at 4.00pm but if i call around 3.30, i never get an answer.....where are they??? This is the Hampshire Constabulary btw. Cheers Blacta Quote Link to post
activeviii 8
Ring them again. ask if there is a problem as you havent heard anything since being told to put cabinet on wall. 7 mths is a bit bad. i just put my ticket in for an adjustment and was on the phone to them 10 days after as i hadnt heard from them. 1 hour later i had a call to say it was done but post was missed, i just went a picked it up. Gloucester constabulary have been doing me proud of late. Quote Link to post
BellySlater 15
Just chase them up, it's your ticket so ask. It may have been missed or forgotten so I would get on to them and tell them that you need it. Quote Link to post

Deker 3,478
You have to remember they are public servants who are used to working at their own pace in an unpressured and non commercial environment. What makes you think they are in any hurry to do you a favour when they may be out of a job soon or get their pensions reduced to the level of the hard working ordinary man! Perhaps a nice low key phone call to ask if their is anything more you can do to assist them in their arduous task! Quote Link to post
