TATTIE GUN....LOL...

I think you need some tuition before you apply for a license, try going out with someone who holds an sgc 1st, as the FEO will ask for your experience.

Not having a go at you, but this is the best way forward, at least when the FEO visits you might have the answers he wants to hear.

Ben

Check your local area and find the nearest clay pigeon ground, go see them and tell them you are looking at starting shooting, most clubs will offer you some good advice and will let you have a short lesson. This is exactly how I started. Good luck mate

You don't need any experience at all for the issue of a SGC. As long as the police don't have reason to believe that you are a danger, and you have somewhere to use it, they HAVE to issue the SGC. They might ask about experience, but it's none of their business really.

I have seen a few of your replies to posts and i have come to the conclusion , you talk a lot of PISHHHHH,

Quote by you...You don't need any experience at all for the issue of a SGC. As long as the police don't have reason to believe that you are a danger, and you have somewhere to use it, they HAVE to issue the SGC. They might ask about experience, but it's none of their business really.

A danger to what ???

They can and will revoke an SGC application, if you cant show that you have any experience with guns...FACT...

what they must do is tell you why they have revoked it, and the answer will be go away and get some experience 1st regarding safety handling and knowledge of the dangers involved when handling a gun.

Why don't you tell the chap to use your quote when the FEO comes to visit like to see the reply he gets in return.

Don't listen to this asshole buddy, go down the route you are taking join a club get some tuition, wait a couple of months then apply, you will have no problems then, listen to this tit babbling on about not needing any previous experience around shotguns and you will get nowhere, at least you have the intelligence that he hasn't to look for some experience, we all had to start somewhere, they don't just give out SGC,s willy nilly because you have been a good citizen all your life and never been in trouble with the LAW, they will want to know that they are giving you a license knowing that they are completely satisfied that you are capable of owning said shotgun.

GOOD LUCK mate you will get there.
