losing ferreting virginity

Recommended Posts

Not to worry mate, there will be plenty more outings. Before i started ferreting i put the ferrets through some empty burrows first just to get them used to is, you have effectively done that but by accident

beleive it or not when they were four months old i dug some intertwining trenches on bit of an old veggie patch in the garden and covered them with pollythene and then the clay back over that, used to run them through once a day to get them (and me) 'trained' up :whistling: but im taking todays experience as a positive.

two things i did learn today though, purse nets and brambles cause much annoyance and just because a ferret heads left doesnt mean she'll pop up on the left. :D

3rd thing. . . take a dog that marks and that will save some time netting empty buries :)
