dogvixen01 34
Hi Dogvixen. So all the previous post's we have seen on here where hunters have taken birds off of Barn roofs, television ariels, tree's, roof top's etc are irresponsible too then? Or is one rule for one and one for another??? AND THERES NO NEED TO SHOUT !! Bill. Bill anyone who fires a gun is capable of missing the target, and unless they can guarantee that there is no one in the area which can possibly be hit ,then it is not a safe shot and can be considered irresponsible imho. The fact that people do shoot at elevated targets, particularly on roofs ,where you cannot see behind the target, unless there are no walls, runs the risk should they miss of accidentally shooting someone or something, and this is even more dangerous with an fac air rifle. The only safe shot is one that should you miss , or the pellet ,bullet et should pass straight through the target that there is absolutely no chance of it coming into contact with any person. This can be classed as a safe shot. Hi Dogvixen. I totaly agree with you mate you are right, most of us think the same way. The issue I had was people making their own assumptions of a chap's shot, and its safty implications, without knowing the circumstances, and jumping to conclusions. Any Hunter worth his salt will calculate the consequences of a shot he is about to take, and will know the ground he shoots on including borderlines, public rights of way, etc. ATB.
