The ferrets get most of what i catch. The dogs get some too and i have the occaisional game stew if i manage to knock a pheasant out a tree or whatever. Remember youve a whole year of ferret feeding to do so even if you have 100 in your freezer they wont be wasted. Iv got 4 ferrets and they have between them one rabbit a day, thats 365 rabbits a year needed. Takes a bit of doin. Then the dogs have say two a week, thats 469 a year. Then you want some too. How bigs the freezer? Basically, if theres room in the freezer i just keep sticking rabbits in it till there aint.

If i'm back down my ends, i kill as many as possible and then sort it out. Whoever said that they won't kill more than they need must be joking. If i'm on my permission then it's a pest control job. If ya can't get rid or store them, take them down the field out of the way and attract reynard instead. That's not a waste still in my book. Luckily, i don't have that problem, but i don't set targets on a pest control job... just kill until you've walked the land and sort the bunnys out later... I still freeze them that i feed dogs and ferrets to kill any nastys that might be in or on them..

when I catch mine, I check their teeth, weigh them, measure them, cut their nails, de-flea them, put a tag in their ears and let them go...

I think i came out with you once with my sonar tracker, collecting abandoned kittens for the breeding and conservation programme... :whistling:

I remember that mate. We collect, I think, 103. Let them go in that old abandoned barn next to the chicken farm..... ahh the memories. Mind when we collected all them minks and let them go in that sanctuary? How were we meant to know it was a bird sanctuary!!! Its all for the good of the animals............ :tongue2:

freeze them for dog and rabbit food(thats the bruised ones, caught by the dogs) all the ferreted ones go to the butcher/deli, and they feed for my dogs for free.. trouble is, i cant get enough of them quick enough, as they sell like hot cake...

I also have been known to rackle a few when no one was looking... :whistling::whistling:
