ferrit06 0 Posted October 21, 2010 Report Share Posted October 21, 2010 Ive just finnished at newton rigg this past june doing the 2 yr national diploma in countryside management( AKA GAMEKEEPING COURSE) yes they do have kennels but if your looking to go their to do a gamekeeping course it is far from it , from experience its mainley cleaning ponds and ditches owt and loads of none keeperin class work such as what happens around the world insted of this country , ive got loads more to say to any one who is thinking of going their,,,, well!!! it is pure bull Sh*t!!!!! ,,, pm me to find out more info ,, and one last bit of advice to any one ,,either do the YTS course or find a keeper to take you under his wing , atb Rory B Quote Link to post
ROB.BOB 21 Posted October 22, 2010 Report Share Posted October 22, 2010 im there now, its good chat and the tutors are a great laugh but there is alot of class work ( about 4 out of 5 days but your shooting for half of one of them) and half of it has sweet f**k all to do with keeping! but you are on placement form april till summer, but most lads stay over the summer which will be amazing! well lookin forward to it! might be an idea at lookin into a few other colleges if you want practical. they do have kennels, ive got my lab in there atm, its only £25 for the year which is good. let us know if ya want to know anything else Rob Quote Link to post
