Went out this morning with the ferrets over our permission and decided to walk over the other side of the hill to some sets we havent done before. We had a slow start untill a Jack russel came running across the feild and decided to help us out lol, she was being walked by a women across the hills but the dog didnt want to leave us so she came over for a chat. It turned out her husband takes the dog ferreting and it took a while for her to prize the dog away as the jack loved it. We moved on to another set and 20 minutes later after we had finished netting up the jack russel came running back over the hill and begain marking holes, she was fine with the ferrets and every hole she marked we stuck a ferret down and sure enough they were straight on rabbits. The jack stayed with us for about an hour and even chased on to a rabbit that slipped the net and went down another hole and pulled the rabbit out. The women came back for her later and we told her how well she had done, she was happy the dog had enjoyed herself and we said she is welcome along anytime she likes. Good morning out and netted nine in total.

Good going mate its always a worry when i dog wanders over when your ferreting to see if it make a grab for the ferrets .You work your ferrets without collars ?.

My missuses choose the harness and I am forced to walk the dog in it I swear lol....

I have got a set of locators & a shovel but to be honest Im not that keen on the shovel so the locators only come out if really needed, thats not very often.
