I rekon he said £150 to keep the idiots off the thread that dont like parting with cash, ive never bred pups and dont intened to either unless new stock is needed, but i know alot of people that woul

I would rather pay someone £60 £70 £ for a pup where the breeding is honest and no poor lies about what the parents have done and still doing.   Some people believe that because a certain name may

how come all the decent lads seem to be on this thread with the right prices for a pup notice the usuals aent on here

id personally give them away mate, the way i see it is, if i cant afford to breed a litter, then i wont, id never be looking to make money back,

man after my own heart, down my way we give them to mates who are always willing tho repay the favour in the future when your stuck .I gave my colliexwhippetxhound away last week for free to a chap who wanted him for rabbits.Hes delighted with him so far catching daytime and on on the lamp.He rang me friday offering me a 12 month old terrier for free but sadly my kennells are full ,its just the way we do things.Personally i think money will ruin the dog world but thats just my opinion

Money has already ruined the dog world, you just need to look at the so called big coursing guys.... more interested in breeding pups than running..... if you read one of their threads its like a f*****g family tree from the warrener brother......

I wouldn't even attempt to breed a litter if I couldn't afford to rear them properly

And as for giving them away to mates don't disagree with that or as payment for stud

So lets just take into consideration the litter I bred Twenty odd Years ago Bedlington x Whippet stud dog mine to a

Track Greyhound bitch given to me a payment for a rat job I done on a greyhound kennels.Result of the mating Thirteen unlucky for some very healthy puppies One was mine Four went to mates,I am left with Eight healthy pups the litter was that good we all struggled to pick.No way at the age of Six weeks was as was suggested earlier knock any of them on the head, and as for giving them away, still waiting for someone to give me pups to the quality of them.

I think a reasonable price is £150, but a recent look on epupz out of curiosity shocked me...grey/bed pups £300...what!!!!! You can tell which ones breed for the money.

I know a lot of people rave about kc working whippets, but the prices some people ask to me is silly money, i know they are a pedigree, but at the end of the day you are buying it to work and not put through crufts. You can get a top class racing whippet puppy for much less than what most people are asking for a working whippet..seems crazy.

Money fucks working dogs!

pups should go to friends only.. just because

some one will pay you money for a pup dont mean

they will look after it.. i would rater cull a

dog than give it to some one i didnt know.. and

as for people paying big money for dogs, thats

why dogs are getting theived!

Dont agree with some of that - if everyone only gave to friends

how the hell would anyone else be able to get in to the game,

some of the peeps just starting out - they have to get a lurcher from somewere,

not all strangers are bad owners.

When I sold on the excess of the litter Twenty Years ago,and the last litter, met some real tidy people went out with them a couple times had some cracking hunting will dig out some old photos see if I can get back in touch through the wonders of the net.

I have to say lot of the last litter went to people of here, don't want to name names as they would probably be embarrassed, but they were all genuine people really interested in the background of both the parents spent a lot of time with the pups before choosing, met people from far and wide one person came from Cambridge hell of a trek to mid wales and back but bang on time and a joy to meet.
