how to get ferrets used to get handled

hello i just got some ferret kits i have been handling every day they keep nipping but they are not doing as much now should i just keeping doing what im doing are should i correct them aswel any advance would be appreciated

Think you answered your question in your post... they cant get any more used to being handled, than beibng handled.. pups nip, kittens nip, babys chew, so do ferrets.

if they nip to hard try a gentle flick on the nose , try letting them drink milk out the palm of your hand

no mate. dont correct them they are playing.. And do not flick them on the nose!! They will soon stop on there own accord pal... ATBRuss.

Don't give them milk either. It'll give them the shits if they get too much.

what ever you do dont ever flick youre ferrets on the nose !!!

they are just playing , and a ferret should be youre best pall .

you mast keep on handeling them , if they bite to hard correct them bey talking harder and just say , no !!! olsow you can thake them by the back of there neck skin , they wil take it verry soon .

tip : frequently put a finger in there mouth .

so they wil get used to it .

handel them every day , and always treat them with love and respect .they wil treat you the same way back

I handle them as much as possible and when they bite harder i put my fingers in there mouths,should eventuly grow out of it.

they arent biting is hard now they are just getting my hand are finger in there mouth but not biting al just keep doing what am doing then

Give them a feed mate then i let them run about the garage ,pick them up clap them etc put them down pick up the next one a hour or so passes quickly and doing it like that once a day they usually have stopped nipping totally within a week or so ..The food helps and lettting them run about burns up there energy so they have other things on there mind than trying to nip you.

been doing al that mate a just didnt no if i needed to correct them are just let them nip a little bit till the grew out of it

Try rolling them on to there back and rubbing there belly mine grab me playfully then i put my finger in there mouth and push they soon stop . If you think there going out there way to grab you pick them up by the scruff like the jill would and gently shake them they stop right away that way
