hi all, was walking the dog today in my local woods and came across a phesant pen, however there are no game keepers in the area and just wondred who it could belong to.

some one mite have a little shoot around your area.

It probably belonged to the last gamekeeper who gave up because people kept walking through his woods !

Could be a rabbit pen, for gun dog trainers.

 

Never heard of a 'public woods' but i dont think that a pen ike that would be in a public place, maybe you should check its actually public

what, you have never heard of a wood that is oppen to everyone

owned by someone..... find out who. not many woods are "oppen to everyone" just folk assuming they are.

We have written off over 500 acres because people keep walking their dogs through it !!!!! You put up a fence and they rip it down Same with signs of any discription .

 

Then you find them in a new bit ,and when you ask them why dont they stay to the other bit ? They tell you NO! because its covered in dog sh1t !

It probably belongs to a syndicate or a farmer. It is NOT a Public Wood unless it has a foot path going through it, so stay out of it because you're messing with somebody's shooting.
