EXPRESS HEVI-SHOT CARTRIDGES

Does anyone use these cartridges for geese and ducks,if so are they any good and do they perform as well as the sales pitch states,also what should I expect to pay for them...I would also be interested to hear what steel shot cartridges are performing well .

I paid £14.50 for a box of ten as my larona wont take steel, missed the first duck hit the second then a rabbit ran accross my path shot it stone dead gave myself a pat on the back for a good shot then realised I had just shot a rabbit with a £1.45 cartrige :icon_eek::censored:

they are very good cartridges, perform very well and are worth the money, if you can afford them!

if you use steel get remington nitro..very good carts but again not cheap

 

if you arent lowsing off 100s of cartridges a season then the wallet wont hurt too much!!

 

nasher1...if your gun isnt proofed for steel then i dont think hevi-shot will do it anygood, have heard that it should be treat the same as steel shot, in guns proofed for steel and less than half choke

Cheers guys,I managed to pick up a box of hevishot for the ducks but not the geese cluny clays have them in stock but they are very expensive at £18.45 a box of ten, I will give them a shot to see how they perform but I think that this will be the only box I buy and I will be using steel in the future.

I would have liked to try the Hevi Metal carts that are used in the link bellow but could'nt get hold of any they come in a box of 25 I think.
