lizziedrip 1
Have bought a fox trap for myself. Having spent the money, can I charge other people to trap foxes for them too? Do I need a licence of some sort? The only thing i can find says I have to check the trap every 24 hours to be leagl - is that it? Quote Link to post

stubby 175
ok, so to start with, you'll need insurance, and a proper one, not just being a member of basc or simular, if your looking at this as a buisness/pest control, maybe a waste carriers license, then as already stated, a waste disposal area/ insinerator Quote Link to post
Urban Fox Control London 8
Is it a full time occupation or just 'cash in hand'? You know who you are dealing with if it is just family and friends as a favour, but if you start to broad advertise and you are not set-up as a company / soletrader / Limited company and not declaring earnings it could get a bit sticky. Could go wrong if you are not set-up paying tax / NI, VAT, Insurance, accountant etc. If you have BASC Insurance, it only covers RECREATIONAL USE thats not 'business use'. All it takes is one upset customer to call the TAX Fraud Helpline and you have a rather expensive investigation on your plate. Quote Link to post
lizziedrip 1
ooo ek! maybe think again - that's all way too scarey. But thankyou anyway! Quote Link to post
