sibaldib 6
The trouble with companies like this is that they knowingly flout the law. It doesn't matter whether it's a gun shop, computer shop or anything else. I had a really bad experience with a place called HSS Supplies in Essex. My lad needed a stab vest for his work and I bought one for him (£350)and when it turned up it was the wrong size. They then siad they couldn't replace it until they had the original back. It took them 3 weeks to collect it and then months of phoning and letters after they said the new one had been sent out (although they could never provide proof). I'm ashamed to say that I did not have the time and energy to chase this up and they have ended up £350 better off. I bet they rely on this scenario a lot and only have the occasional customer who they have to pay out to. Sib Quote Link to post

RogerTheCat 3
One of those reviews is mine. I had a hell of time getting my money back from them. I ended up sending a letter threatening court action and only then did i get my £ back hi roger hw long did it take all in all to get your money back? atb steve I was phoning them for 6 maybe 8 weeks and getting nowhere. I emailed them this letter (below) and also sent it by post. i did not send it by recorded delivery as they would probabley just refused to accept recorded delivery letters. Anyway the money was refunded onto my credit card within a matter of days. I got the name of the owner of the buisness from this newspaper article which also shows his face which was handy should i have needed to visit te shop. My link My letter ""TO Cyrus Shack Shooting Shack 394 Halliwell road Bolton UK BL1 8AP Dear Sir On the 31st October 2009 I placed an order through your webiste www.shootingshack.com for a shooting vest and baseball cap. When I placed the order I received no confirmation email. The total cost of the order was £69.97 and was paid for by credit card with the money going out of my account on 2nd November 2009. A week after first placing the order having received no email or telephone communication from you I telephoned your business on 01204 848088 and was told that the shooting vest was not available in the colour I wanted. I was also told that you had been trying to contact me which seemed strange as I had received no missed calls or answer phone messages on my mobile, the contact number I had given, and had received no emails. I stated that I wished to cancel my order and was told my money would by refunded into my account. I left my contact details and asked that I receive confirmation that the money had been refunded into my account. I have since phoned your business three times. On the first occasion I spoke to someone who told me that they would arrange the refund. The second time I spoke to your manager who said the money had been paid into my account but it would take about three days for the transaction to be processed. About 4 or 5 days later I phoned and was told that a note was on your Desk informing you to urgently refund me my money. On all three ocassions I lfet my telephone number and requested I be contacted and informed when the money had been reimbursed to me. A week later and I still do not have my money and have never received one telephone call or email about my money. The purpose of this letter is to inform you that should my money not be refunded into my account by the 12 December 2009 I will have no option but take action through the civil courts. I must also inform you that I have contacted Trading Standards who tell me that my contract with you is regulated by the Distance Selling Regulations 2005. Regulation 14 of these Regulations require you to refund my monies within 30 days of my cancelling the contract. Failure to do so is a possible criminal offence. Yours XXXXXXXXXXX A copy of this letter will also be sent by recorded delivery" Quote Link to post

Phantom 631
awwwww poor old bloke He said that he was punching and kicking him and they were going to attack him, sorry but in my book if they punched him and kicked him they were attacking him. And I wonder why they were doing this? Perhaps because he wasn't going to replace, repair or refund for faulty goods? :wankerzo4: Phantom Quote Link to post
