help training falconry dog

i am looking for tips or advice for training my 4 month old springer dog to work with my hawk, i have had no experience training dogs to work with hawks any advice would be great

I think the most important thing at that age is to get the dog and hawk socialized. I did it by keeping the pup in a puppy cage beside the bow perch (the bird was young too).

I've a 16 month GSP, the hawk is perfectly manned to the dog but its too hyper to take out hunting, she'd be flushing on the horizon.
