I would never breed a pure anything into my dogs if I didnt have to which I never should have to cuz there are plenty of descent enough dogs out there to chose from. Might not be the best but they'd be way better than breeding to a pure saluki, deerhound, greyhound just for the sake of it.

i'm not saying a pure isn't needed somewhere down the line just that i would never dream of putting a pure saluki dog over any of my bitches unless it was bred out of proven stuff and was the best i had seen

40 yrs ago yes iceman nowadays there no need to put a pure anything into anything really im not calling salukis if you own one good i just get upset when young lads read all teh shit about pures and expect them to perform liek a good coursing strain thats hwy there is alot of litter wastage and upset people and dogs

on the same note would you consider putting a quality coursing stud, say for instance CN's Buddy over a pure bitch?

 

 

I do conceed that for the single handed game the purpose bred saluki lurcher is deffo the way to go no arguem,ent there for sure, but at the end of the day there aint much harm in taking a pure and testing it in the same way,cannot do any harm can it? and ya never know

 

I'll just have to hope that my saluki is made by Karlsberg, cos then it might be the bst saluki good thread lads

artic i would never go out and buy a pure saluki bitch and line it with buddy or any other dog, a good mate of mine has thats his decision, i had a pup off buddy to a pure saluki but make no mistake i would rather best to best 10/10
