Its 5 minutes walk from my house. Went there a lot. Shut down now. Dogs used to stink for days. Used to dig all sorts of sculls up.

We once ferreted a mound of yellow fat that the rats had burrowed into it wasent until i dug into and found it was the bodies of skinned mink from a fur farm

thaks for the info boys. did you used to get a lot of rats? plummer says he used to get loads but you would from a stinking place like thAT.

was it hard to get permission on there?

We just used to go around the outskirts of it as the actual place were the maggots were proccesed was pretty secure from wat i can remember.TBH we never caught meny with our mongrels and terriers as the ferrets were done after a few encounters with rats that were that used to ferrets if smokers had been about them days it would have been a diferent tale.atb dell

The maggot farms seemed to have really declined, probably due to legislation and the increased use of paste and pellet by anglers. I have never hunted a maggot farm but i bet the whole place smells so bad it will make your hair curl! :D

I am told that waste tips are the 'new' places to hunt rats. i was meant to be going to one such place a while back but it all fell through.

The cadeby mink farm provided some good sport with the escapees , thank to the animal rights nutters

Tried getting permission on a rubish tip but the local council wont have any of it due to health and safety rules

The last place i ratted was at the side of a farm field next to a small pond where the farmer had dumped aload of corn

Anyone tried the new propane smoker yet , from what ive seen its alot better than the first one
