conor 7
would it not be alot easier to ask "the farmers" as some call them, for premission to walk their land? most like shooting or hunting and only be glad to be rid of rabbits, foxes or what ever. they know wats up then theres no problems. not saying shooting at people is right tho! just takes a bit of common sence Quote Link to post
juckler123 707
The run up to christmas usually leads to a lot more folks on the land keepers looking after their biggest shoots of the year and as MR darcy says a lot more idiots nicking stuff as long as theres no physical harm a good runner can be a right laugh shooting in the air and that is par for the course its when the dog drops dead at the side of you shot or your head connects with a pickaxe handle some big mothers holding that its time to do something Quote Link to post
Guest Frank
This is what happened: http://www.rte.ie/news/2006/1214/nallyp.html This is not a new thing. I have been shot at, back in 93. I had permission, written to be pricise and was running a lurcher, after rabbits and foxes. Was having a great night, had 3 foxes and 8 bunnys and was slowly heading back to the car, when BOOM, shatter all around be, some looney had discharged a shotgun towards me. I had 2 pellets struck me and boy did it sting, but nothing seriouse, my dog was lucky as he was standing behind me. I was fuming, i ran towards them shouting, they, 2 farmers, confonted me to teel me to get the f**k out. I told them i had permission and also told them that i would be ringing the cops. They still did not back down and kept threatening me ect. I got in the car and drove to the station and explained everything that happend. The farmer who's land i was on, was away at a wedding, but a qucik phone call to him, confirmed that i was ment to be their. To cut a long story short, the farmers were both arrested on attempted murder and were jailed for the offences. They were well known in the area, as 2 mad thick feckers, their excuse being, some travelling folk were sheep rustling their farm a few days ago. Becarefull out thir folks and allways have permission. Frank. Quote Link to post
tod 3
Good advice mate. Me an a couple of boys ended up starin down the barrels of 2 guns last week when we were out with the dogs, on a place where i have never been bothered before and seen many people there while we were out during the day........ dont know who these 2 dicks were or whether they had any right to be there more than we did, but they told us to do one anyhow. I'm boilin thinkin about it Because we were out with lurchers and terriers we were told we weren't allowed to walk the dogs there and got threatened with guns an the dogs booted, i'll be honest, i panicked and dropped my arse basically cos they should of got knocked out but its the first time ive had a gun up me nose in the middle of no-where and apart from 'Blue' who was away up a hill, the lads i was with never said a nut!!! Sorry about the rant but im still fumin no wonder your still fumin .i think if they would have booted me dogs i would have lost the plot and would have ad it with the c**ts.i would take more offense of someone kicking my dogs than pointing a gun at me and i have had guns pointed at me.they sound like a pair of bullys mate and i bet if you bump into one of them without is gun he wont be to keen to kick your dog then.
