If a dog can still take quarry consistently at 10 years old then he aint seen enough huntin to even be closed to tested.

where do you draw the line and say a dog is tested? a tested dog in one mans mind might not be tested in another mans mind

Imo u could breed two dogs that have never worked and still end up with a good dog..you only get out of a dog what u put into it. some pups are born better than others physicaly which may make them fa

right answer this when people breed dogs when the parents havent been tested people say they shouldnt do it . wich i believe my self yet i no people that have bred dogs that have been tested 2 the full and the pups have failed. is it possible that a good dog or bitch could make the grade out of untested dogs.

in my humble oppinion you can get good dogs out of untested parents it all depends on the amout of time and effort you are willing to put in.the right training and entering and plenty of practise.best dog i ever had or am likley to have was a back street bitsa.never once let me down

Its not all about coming for workers or none workers its about the pup you have had from 6 weeks and how you the owner bring it on.So many pups for sale 12 months 13 14 months etc etc this are only pups that is have not full growing but the owners thing they should be do same work as 3 or 4 year old lucher with a few seasons behind them because there the same height and that that is load balls pups need time and need work not sold after one mistake or pts.

theres no garauntees in anything in life and dogs are no exception the truth of it is a bigger percentage of useful dogs come from worker to worker but still not garaunteed yes you can get the odd useful dogs from non workers but more by chance really and thats not a chance id be willing to take personally .the amount of super dogs about (in owners mind only)im suprised theres any quarry left to run whistling.gif

what about this then my bull got killed last night absolutely gutted i know he not a lurcher but he was showing excellent promise to me anyway he had everything you could be looking for and now that blood has gone and he was far from tested properly but i know he had it and his temp was the best so what about in that situation where something could happen anytime you just dont know RIP fury
