I hope she will Penny. She'll have a few acres to run around and no doubt there'll be the odd rabbit to chase for her. I imagine she'll not get bored with my daughter hangin around too. MOO 730
I am in the same situation C my old bitch is 10 now and has been in semi retirement for a few years now as her son has taken over .....it was hard for me watching the bitch looseing a yard or 2 and was tsraight lined on a few occasions but still had the heart ....she seems to be enjoying the easy life but still comes out every now and again as imo if you totally put them to pasture they fade away .....good luck with the youngster and hope you get as much fun with him as you did with your old bitch Quote Link to post
collie/grey 238
I have only had to retire one dog (shows my age) But even now i hate it, remembering what she was like as a youngster and watching her give all her heart but not connect.....but she still has a run or two just needs more rest than she used to need, im sure she will enjoy the leisurely life, she definately deserves it! Oh and happy birthday to the youngun! Quote Link to post

Millet 4,497
Awsome stuff matey, she has been a cracking dog and she deserve's the retierment you are willing to give her.BUT a word of warning these old dog's dont like being left in while the younger generation get took out, ,screaming hab dabs always occur in this neck of the woods and i always end up letting the old fellow tag along, even though he dont nail anything his old brain is still pumping, and if something easy pops up it turns him back into a pupy again. Cheers M Quote Link to post
