Nissan Pathfinder Adventura '57' Plate Auto

Recommended Posts

Just bought a Nissan Pathfinder Adventura '57' Plate Auto with only 20k on the clock from a main dealer for visiting customers/sales calls and family holidays !!!

It won't be my day to day workhorse and will do about 4-5k per annum.

Does anyone else have one and how do you find it to drive / off road etc.

Thanks in advance :bye:

They have had a fairly decent write-up in some of the on-line reviews.

Had a quote at Costco for Michelin Tyres supplied and fitted at £174+VAT each.

They won't mix the tyres as it does something to the diff's meaning that they will only initally change 4 tyres first.

Someone tell me it is going to be ok !!!!

I had a navara crew cab in my last job and they replaced the front 2 tyres, 4wd system didn't like that so had to get back 2 to the same, worked better and never had any problems, well apart from when the picker up reversed it into a wall and smashed the left tail lights :wallbash:

Don't know a thing about the Nissan mate, but the tyres question is down to the rolling radius of each tyre, have had cars in the past that were 4 wheel drive, Audi A4 Quattro, Sierra XR4X4, Sapphire Cosworth 4X4, all were critical on tyre wear, the diffs can't compensate for the difference in diameter that fitting 1 new tyre would give, as I remember though as long as they were replaced in pairs, front or rear that was ok, maybe the centre diff in the Nissan can't compensate, but I can't see that F+R is relevant.

I've confused myself now!

Just taken it out for a test drive and it is a beauty with only 20k on the clock and one previous elderly owner.

I already have a Nissan Primastar van that I use for work.

Touch wood it has been very good and has just had it's 3rd birthday on 50k miles.

For the van, I have signed up to the Nissan Service Plan which covers all servicing as per the manufacturer's recommendations except wear & tear parts such as brake pads and windscreen wipers.

The service internals for the Pathfinder is every 2 years or 20,000miles.

The Pathfinder will need 3 services in 6 years which works out at £21.34 per month direct debit 0% APR and inflation proof under the Service Plan over 6 years.

The other bonus is that as long as I own the vehicle, I will get free MOT's from Nissan even though it is a 'used' car.

I can claim the VAT back and set everything else against tax so I think I will be signing up to the package.

Again, it means I will have a come back to the dealer's should anything go wrong.
