Guest RookGuy
Hi, I know tha this is a mostly UK site but I have found nothing similar in US. I have a year old JRT that I would like to get out into the field. He and I have no experience to speak of. He's perty big and I have never seen him dig any sort of a hole, but we are urbanites and he's rarely off leash. He's gone for a local cat or two, so I think that he'd be OK on quary. If there's any one in the area that wouldn't mind if me and Cooter tagged along for a day tht would be great! Ken Quote Link to post
bshadle 5
NEW England's a pretty big area, you might narrow it down a bit unless you really like driving. If you check this site, you might be able to follow some of the links to contacts close to home. http://www.yjrtn.com/index.html Good luck. Expect to follow some blind leads. There seems to be a lower percentage working them here than UK. Quote Link to post

I have seen that site but I missed out on all the gatherings for the year and there is no mesage board ar any thing there that I could find. I am located in Northern Mass right on, and about 1/3 west along the NH border so any of the top 4 states are reasonable. Excetp Maine. That gets really big really fast! thanks for the tips though! Guest RookGuy
I just thought that I'd bump this up. I tried posting on a US JRT group but they all seem to be more interested in posting pictures of their dogs in funny cloths than in the field. I sure would like to get him out! woolbr8stl 0
Certainly didn't mean anything by it, Thursojack. he may get a response there, just don't want him to be disappointed if there are not to many. I sent him a pm also. Bettina Quote Link to post
