Yokel Matt 918
That was probably just one 4 acre field mate... none were actually shot, Ian just sat there and played a jig on his pied-pipe I'm going to guess and say eighty six Edited October 11, 2010 by Local Quote Link to post

basinator 0
hi mate what sort of crop is the land owner growing....only im looking for some more land round my way and wondered if there was a better choice of land you seem to find more on than others depending on what is being grown,,only a thought as it could be a starting point in my search for more land. cheers lee Quote Link to post
Yokel Matt 918
Bloody good knock that - what sort of range were they up to? I always have problems estimating distance when lamping... Quote Link to post
IanB 0
Mostly around 60yds, few closer, few further... Had an amber filter on, mainly to kill the beam down slightly... but took it off as the fog came in, red filter provides better results for skitty rabbits, gives you that bit more advantage, much better than amber... to be honest, the area is out the way and quiet, so there not lamp shy like other places..plus its keepered and they only really tend to the foxes... Other places I go there off when you scan a field with the lamp, one field holds a big number and there really lamp shy from people having a go at them... pointless.. Other options are NV, snaring, ferreting or if the conditions are right netting it. Quote Link to post
