Rescue dogs

There seem to be alot of "Patterdale" terrier types in rescue centres around the UK.

 

Has anyone rescued one? and, if so, what is he/she like?

This is Jack.. I went to the rescue kennels about nine years ago to pick up a rotty to guard my workshop, Jack was in the next pen jumping up the wire and hanging on by his teeth. When i enquired about him i was told that for some reason he'd been kept five weeks instead of the usual four, and was due to be put down the next day. Not a chance. I gave twenty quid for him and he's guarded my workshop, ratted, dug and generally been a good old lad ever since.
