liamdelaney 2,587
I'd say a proper wheeton is a pleasure to own a lot less temperamental that a bull can be we have had both and working wheetons are a lot less hassle especially round terriers nearly ever genuine working wheaten i,ve seen from a long line of workers have nearly been worse than pure bulls when it comes to other dogs etc.. Beat me to it paddy .... Beat me to it as well. They are game dogs .End of story. Quote Link to post

BULL 97
ive owned a few bulls over the yearts pits and staffs and the only bad problem was there desire to kill other dogs ,never got a warning just when the dog was within range was attacked ,could never even introduce them to another dog it wasnt happining after my old staff died ,i always wanted a house dog like him again but even till his death of old age he would still try to attack another dog on sight brilliant with kids and people had a ingrained hatred of any other animals though. I can have one of his line at anytime for free or a pit for free ,but due to the aggresion factor and the fact the rspca and police are confiscating dogs there just not for me anymore so was thinking of a wheaton pure or bred to a bullx this would hopfully be my house dog but usefull with the bullxs for bushing etc . I didnt realise they were as aggressive as a pure bull with other dogs . Quote Link to post
dean 11
wheatons mix with almost anything and can work with others but if something trys it on there happy to oblige that doesnt mean there out and out dog agressive by any means and are a great dog it just means you have to know your dogs and keep control you wont often find a wheaton looking to fight its just that they will not back down if fronted. BULL 97
I found with the pure bulls they were overtly aggressive to anything that wasnt human, and with the firmist of hands the part was uncontrollable which meant i was never at ease taking them anywere one of em even jumped out of a moving car to get at a cpuople of german shepards . but the bullxs i have and all of the ones my friends have are absoultly fine with other dogs, which is what i need as i have no time for an aggressive dog ,its fine if he stands his ground as theres always a pecking order in any pack ,all the wheaton xs ive heard of are fine and work in packs too. (bitches). he wont tollerate another dog giving him the eye. they have the same cross to bear as bulls and other strong terrier types. in that even if they are not the aggresser they can cause serious damage so if a fight does break out. nine times out of ten they will end up the bad guy. i personally would love to own a pure wheaten. and maybe one day..you never know Quote Link to post
Aeron 43
fellas. i am not getting into an arguement wheatens are gripping dogs, not game dogs. there is only one truely game dog and yeah liam; i am speaking from experience Quote Link to post
