rizla1 122
do you mean 301 if so £250 sounds resonable if in good working order, berettas much better quality that the hatson, Quote Link to post
clint 45
Any Italian gun is better than Turk 301 bomb proof, last forever.Russian also very strong - bakial Edited October 10, 2010 by clint Quote Link to post

matt_hooks 188
Looked after properly, they'll all last years. The berettas I've heard very good things! Quote Link to post
Mastiff 7
I'm no expert but the Italians seem to do two things well... Food and shotguns. Quote Link to post
stubby 175
beretta I would Imagine are the better of the two, saying that, I own a hatsan, its a catch 22 really, as if your new to shotguns, the hatsan bought new from a shop, will not only give you peace of mind with the warrenty, but also as a customer, you'll be able to ask the shop 101 questions as if its a decent shop, you'll be a valued customer, will you get any aftercare with the beretta doubtful, unless its a shooting buddy Quote Link to post
dave1372 83
I would say give the Beretta a go for £250. Worse case scenarion with a name like Beretta you can always sell it easily if you are not happy and most likley you will not lose any money. Quote Link to post
clint 45
When come to semi-auto Italian or Russian Bakail. You no regret. Quote Link to post
activeviii 8
Beretta have been around for years and have stood the test of time. hatsun have to offer the 3 year or no one would buy them. i dont know anyone with one that hasnt had a problem or two with theirs. buy the Beretta and if no good then sell it on for the same, if not more, than you paid for it. lurchers 2,754
i no with the hatsan they had teething probs with them jamming but that is suposed to be sorted now,but i thought if they can offer a 3yr warrenty they must be decient to offer that or they would lose out surely.i can have the cammo escort for £350 from the shop.but with the beretta its sold as seen, plus i wouldnt say it looks like new. andyf 144
Go with the Berreta, I have a 1980's vintage 303 with a 26" mutichoke barrel, I've owned it for about 10 years and shot 1,000's through it, it's never misfired and is light recoiling even with Magnum shells. A couple of people I know have Hatsans, their ok and are just about a copy of the Berreta anyway i.e. my shooting buddy has an unrestricted (FAC) Berreta Extrema and he has a Hatsan extension mag tube on it as it was about 1/3r'd the price of the genuine Berreta part, but I have seen a broken spring, also the quality is just not a good as the Berreta. Just give the Berreta a good 'look at' the wood should be good nick, the metalwork blueing not worn or rusty, and all the screw slots should be un-marred. Quote Link to post
