She has always been on dummies and i have just put her on cold game but she is a little heavy mouthed. Any ideas. did you use fur and feather on the dummies or have you switched from dummies straight onto cold game.plus try not to use large or heavy dummies / cold game at first. as soon as dog picks up retrieve get it's attention and run away from it to distract it from whats in its mouth and to focus on getting back to you .plus it just could be she needs to get used to the feel of the game.little often and plenty of praise. not a trainer but hope this gives you some ideas.atb. rickyspringer 15
Stu, tread carefully bud, maybe go back a step, it could be sheer excitement how many times as she appeared a little hard?? Quote Link to post
TRF-JRs 6
Have to agree with the above, if she's only had a few fur/feather in her mouth it's normal for them to get a bit excited. See how she gets on and don't be too quick to take it off her. Quote Link to post
