last years pup

this is the pup from last year that people had a go at me for starting him at three and a half months so heres some pics from last night he had twenty rabbits and a shot and retrived red coat hes now nearly sixteen months old so i think its done him well starting him young

Aye, when hes f****d with injuries at the ripe old age of 5, I'm sure your thoughts might differ.... or maybe you'll have another 14 week old pup to take over the reigns......

That's some going. My greyxwhippyxcollie didn't have all his adult teeth until about 5 months!

he had his first rabbit at 16 weeks and had a total of 60 + rabbits at the end of the season a lot of people knock it but you never know till you try it alb

good pic. the work wont hurt him its sorts the good dogs from the bad.

well done malk1. theres nowt wrong with showing the pup what happens and giving them the odd slip now and again at that early age. i started mine at 4 and half month doubled with another pup of the same age and they both went on to be prolific dogs. they retired at 9 and 10. if its got it, its got it! atb :thumbs:

starting them young never seems to hurt them. alot of people say you shouldnt do it but ive never had any problems with my dog so far. starting them early benifits them in alot aways i reckon.
