F**king Steel Shot

just back from scotland the solaway firth for a weeks goose shooting had plenty of oppertunities but them useless steel shot the were 3" you could here the pellets hitting the geese and going on

 

What lead shot 3" do youse reccomend

Perhap's you never hit em right??????? or they was to "HIGH" ??????????? or BOTH :whistling:

You aint hitting them right! The noise is the pellets passing through the wing feathers.

 

No doubt you were aiming at the body of the geese, classic mistake :doh: Shoot the snipe infront of the goose is what i was always taught, ie the head, that will bring them down

Correct and "GOOD SOUND ADVISE" :thumbs: Mind you if he was one of the guy's from Hull up last week 90+ yard's is way to high :thumbdown: (a good mate of mine live on the Solway)

On the mud =hevishot

on the fields= 36 g 3 gamebore buffalos

Cant understand people useing 50g for geese

As for the steel shot I have used 36g 3 gamebore super steel and they do not have the stopping power as lead

Im on foreshore but i still shot lead and they were low as anything

and im not from hull by the way

no your were the sand crawlers that should have had there tickets taken off them out past the marker posts shooting on reserve f##king wa##ers and as for the geese being low you have no idea of range you and your mates attitude ah theres some geese not matter what height they are lets just empty our guns on them and what a clever c##t to brag about using lead
