good post but first inst 2.1 deep and secound isnt 2.2 deep. either your bending the truth or theres someting very wrong with your box. both look like 0.8/0.6 digs.

good sport tho

maybe some folks should read the whole thread. if your all happy with shoddy equipment then crack on. just seems fairly backward to me.

noone can offer an explanation or conclusion just daft comments... says alot about how much you do to me

What's there to explain?

2.1 on my box is about 3.5 ft. So for the 6 ft+ dig you so urgently crave, the reading would be about 4 on the box.

I don't know if its in ft,meters, yards or some other scale.

But I use it enough to know how to convey the reading on the box into actual depth.

Does that explain it in english for you.

If not, please PM me to keep your shite off the thread, or go and seek help.

Thanks again.

For a start, good day out well done

I think what Yipp is getting at is that if your box says 2.1, you would have to subtract a metre to get to 3.5 ft.....as 2.1 in metres is in fact nearer to 7ft

Hence him saying the box needs re-calibrating

o jeez, tell you what re-read the thread properly and you pm me if you still dont get it

the numbers mean something and have a value for a reason. if not why state them?!? you stated it was in yards, so thats what i based my posts on.

can someone who has this box and does alot of game confirm the facts on the numbers etc to clear it up for people who want to go and do it. bellman is in meters and works, when i have dug to this system it has also been in meteres.

as for carving.... i get my fill :whistling:

Still don't get it, or maybe you don't.

Ill let you mull over the technical details. Ill just work my dogs with my locator that suits me perfectly.

Thanks for your concern.

The d3 ortovox would read over, but not by that much on that type of depth...be intersting to see if you got different readings with different collars?....as you say, you know your kit but that is pretty far out
