Jr. Barryvox is in yards not meters. But thanks for your input anyway mate. And there's feck all wrong with my box I can drop on the dogs nose every time.

Thanks anyway buddy.

first ive heard of that, and ive used one on a few occasions, but i shall take your word for it. however a yard i belive is only 10cm short of a meter or in other terms 2.1 would be over 6ft. anyone who has done any amount of digging can tell that neither of those holes are 6ft, nowhere near infact. you seem a genuine feller, so i can only assume your box is out.

Jr. I can only hazard a guess that you have not done as much digging with a barryvox as you make out. Nowhere did I claim they were 6ft or anything like it. Probably 3.5 to 4 ft.

What I did say is the reading on the box which is acurate and never failed me.

Maybe you should pm bryan about the box depths if it bothers you that much.

Secondly, when digging on a steep banking, only a fool would go for the lowest reading. You have to do a bit of judgement to break through on top of the dog. As you have done so much digging, you will know all of this.

In any case, I wouldn't loose any sleep over it mate, I sure as f**k won't.

Cheers

no you said they were 2.+ marks and that is measures in yards... a yard is 3ft, so 6ft+ digs. which they are not simple. so either your bullshitting or you need to send your box back and get it sorted. if its reading 6ft when its 3 ft id hate to think what it reads when it actually 6ft and even 1ft.... the numbers are there to give you a guide, other wise you might aswell just have the noise. just pointing out the obvious.

i shant loose any sleep as it aint my box so not my prob.however i do enough digging to know that my equipment is bang on, as it needs to be and i thought it was dodgy i would be doing something about it, espcially when it costs what it does!

as for digging on banks, ive done my fair share. offering you some experinced adviced that i noticed at first glance, were not all into bullshiting and being interent heros

Internet heros?

Bullshitting?

Ive got nothing to prove and am more than happy with my box. I use it enough to know exactly what it says on the box, and exactly what it will be when dug.

I don't know what 2.1 in Barryvox terms is...ask Bryan or one of the many users.

The way I see it, the shorter the distance, the more acurate. So Im really not complaining.

A scale of 1-10 in inches is more precise than a scale of 1-10 in metres. Use your noodle and work it out.

I didn't put this post up for an argument, merely just as I thought like minded people might be interested in a read and a look at some pictures.

But, hey ho I was wrong.

Once bitten, twice shy.

nothing is more accurate if its reading way over the odds, that much os obvious!they are not just a made upscale, they have value or they wouldnt be there. anyone can imagen how deep a meter or a yard would be, this is why its relivant.

i didnt post for an argumnet, just pointing out facts and advice, facts you have taken offence to and that you cant explain. that is not my problem
