fresh earth 47
Dog should be given to someone who is going to at least walk it every day obviously a bit work all be it a little would be even better but if i knew someone who had a dog chained and was left without excersise or any effort id remove the dog myself. I know plenty lads around here virtualy the same dogs quite capable left to lay in pish and s*it for weeks at a time. I call the lads and invite them to have a walk out as a bit company now and then is nice for my self and the dogs to get told nah cant be ersed was lamping the er night n gawn out again at the weekend wtf ... My dogs are walked at least 2 times a day usualy 3 unless im lamping or ferreting and they are out in all weathers even if it is a ten minute jaunt in pissing rain to clean themselfs i never leave them lay more than 12 hours without a walk as none of mine will soil the kennel as they expect to be out at the same time. Why own a dog if you are going to leave it on a chain and not so much as look at it ? Kris. Quote Link to post

johnny boy68 11,726
Proper messer Dotty but its the same all over the dog world and its sad Quote Link to post
Ideation 8,216
Its so depressing to hear that mate . Some folk want to get into hunting to fit into a clique, so get a dog, tell some stories. . . . . that's as far as it gets. Others just kind of get into it because they like dogs and like hunting so it goes together and they are usually the ones that end up with the real passion. I just don't know how someone can look at a dog spending its life on a chain or living in its own shit and not feel extremely guilty and a proper c**t. Quote Link to post
stabba 10,745
If the dog had a been here it would have been up and at it by now...shame on the lad in question Quote Link to post
FightTheBan 1,147
I know of a lad who shall remain nameless who keeps a few terriers, one of which happens to be the last of a line of top notch working lakelands...by ANYONES standard. The dog is kenneled 24/7 and hasn't seen work (or even a showring ) in the last 3 years. I took the dog out to try an earth that was holding last season(due to a shortage of dog's). When I picked the dog up he was an utter state and an embarrasment to dogmen. His coller was embeded in his neck, and had to be cut off with a stanley. I have offered to take the dog off his hands, and offered him cash...but he won't part with him as he is 'too good a worker'. Really twists my melons that shit. FTB Quote Link to post
Fat-Ferret 857
I dont usually speak much on anything, but if theres one thing that gets on my tits is a dog on a chain, f*** that really winds me up. Quote Link to post
