s.e.s.k.u 1,893 Posted October 8, 2010 Report Share Posted October 8, 2010 my grandad still tells tales of coursing hares at drax nr selby in the 50's and 60's with his greys n lurchers! says he had one very useful bitch called lucy pure greyhound that could catch any hare. i would have loved to be ther to witness but guess im gunna have to take his word ha ha . any lads on here used to go coursing at Drax and was it as good as he says? Big bald beautiful 1,231 Posted October 8, 2010 Report Share Posted October 8, 2010 Watched my first hare run there, about 81.dragged around by my uncles deerhound cross. a great day out, saw a first cross bedington greyhound win there, bred and owned by a guy from north yorkshire. poacher will remember him. even saw a 3/4 bred collie cross from hancock run there.
