How To Bathe A Cut

Whats peoples views on bathing a dogs foot when its got a deep cut to make it heal quicker?

A cut is a cut and treatment depends on the severity, can it be cleaned with cotton wool and hibiscrub or is it deep and require veterinary attention?

dont think it needs to see a vet like, but running this morning never made it any better but shes getting kept in now for a week or two, no 1 got any special potions like?

If its a deep cut and the dog has been carrying it for two weeks i'd get it too a vet.....

only had it for 4 days or summit but i ran it this morning and its not limping, im using potassium permangamate on it, its meant to be good, il just use it a few more days and see how it goes, cheers anyway

Nae shit!!!! It had a cut and then you ran it before it was healed and obviously the dog has burst it. Give the dog a chance to heal before you run it again

i use warm salt water

i use warm salt water in a bowl and stand his foot in it for a while soak it dry well and some antibiotic spray no good bandage it as he just rips it off.

Give it a good wash out salty water,keep the dog in all day .then late on night time get some steri strips some glue ... dont glue the cut and don't let any glue get in to the cut. just dab some glue on the end of the steri strip close the cut up put steri strips across let it stick then do the other side. Its should hold it closed.. but put the steri strips across as like you would if it got stitches + <<< like that

do the steri strips just come off them selves? and wont she just rip them off with her teeth? also lol how long do ya leave them on for?

Just use glue mate... Just glue one side wait till its stuck then pull it closed and glue the other side and hold till its stuck!!

But make sure you can still see the cut then you can check on how its doing! give it a min of 10 days on ... But you can leave it longed if needed! have you got a muzzle for the dog? If you have use it mate , should stop her pulling them off!

I do it this way all the time and it works well, but never glue it to hair as it will not stick . get a skin stapler from ebay as well.

But never put staples in the pads,
