I have a pair of meindles mate, newish ones, i also have a pair over 15 years old, they are like a pair of four wheel drive slippers, from the box, i dont know about grams or the like, but i know one thing, they are a superb boot, not cheap, but you certainly get what you pay for.

 

I also understand that the lowa boots are a good quality item as well, but i havent owned a pair so i cant really comment from experience. I doubt you;ll go far wromg with either.
