COMPO 54
I think its a good read now and again but not every week. As for advertising i think it would be better to advertise in CMW than shooting times as it includes all aspects of fields sports not jusy one sort IMO. Oh yeah it covers all types of hunting i forgot its in-undated with hound articles, proper terrier work, and decent advice on shooting etc.....it aint it has a few bland ferreting articles, a load of bollox about terriers hunting rabbits and an occasional article about collecting old shotgun cartridges, truly an all round read
swamper 11
only bought it twice....and both times found it patronizing the best bit is the ads...that was it...shite

Foxgun Tom 75
The CMW is shit!! it does'nt give a feck about the ordinary working dog enthusiast! it allready threatned to shut dowm another pro-working dog website for ctriticsing it !! its an arse wpie of a magazine and nothing short of an events diary the quicker its confined to history the better and if you think I'm telling porkie??s I challenge the CMW to sue me!! FERRETINGMOUCHER 1
Compo i was just stating that it has more than just one type of field sport. E.G Shooting Mags only contain SHOOTING . JUSt giving my opinion .

Guest Macnas
For those of us who do not know/care enough about working dogs (ie, not gundogs), the issue just doesn't arise. There seems to be a whole sub-culture around Sean Frain, Chris Plummer and those who like them/ loathe them. All goes over my head I'm afraid. I'll buy it if I'm in the village and am leisurely enough to have a pint, good to have something to read instead looking at the telly.
Bosun11 537
I buy the damn thing (every so often) then wish I hadn't!! Most of the lurcher & terrier stuff just kills me, then they done my head in with the Bull stuff a few years back, had to advertise as 'strong dog' etc!! I really enjoyed it as the Shooting News, still have plenty of old copies which are still a good read. Real dog men talkin real dogs. I did hear that Plummer got his hooks into it many moons ago, not sure how true that was but it certainly seemed to be a vehicle for his views an fables for a few years , seems to be about the time it went down hill!! It's out tomorrow ain't it.....better count me odd's!!!

Guest oldskool
why can they not follow the path of the websites and have pre-ban or a 'memory lane' section??? i know they have to watch themselves but i think they take the piss with some of the fool articles they publish... the worst article i read was about rabbitting terriers and the size of jaw it would need to withstand the kick of a rabbit fucksake it actually made me feel embarrassed because i read it right the way through
COMPO 54
Compo i was just stating that it has more than just one type of field sport. E.G Shooting Mags only contain SHOOTING .JUSt giving my opinion . The countrymaids weekly did used to be called the shooting news and very very rarely had any mention of guns or shooting i buy the sporting gun, it has a few ferreting and terrier articles , i also occasionally buy the shooting times, which also runs ferreting, terrier and hunting articles on occasions, or there is the earth dog running dog mag by subscription which is terriers&lurchers only. Or if you are into collectING old shotgun cartridges the CMW
FLY 0
shadow of its former self = shooting news/poaching news, but dont beleive plummer was the reason for its demise, think they tried to make it more respectable!
Simoman 110
I have a flick through every now and then when i'm in the papershop. There is usually the odd interesting article, I missed out on the GSD lurcher article last week I used to love the old shooting news, nowdays the magazine only seems to print hunting articles that are "safe". The only mag I get now is EDRD.
