i,ve stopped getting it now it,s gone up to £1.95 and it,s got boring,much more interesting going on these hunting forums.

baldie and foxgun tom, summarise my thoughts, a poison chalice that too many have been stung by

 

i used to buy it religously when it was the shooting news, it was a decent read then Llyod on Lurchers,Daergi, and that american woman Teddy something, then it tried to be too wide, it moved away from its roots and it's core, (its core was ferreters,terriermen and lurcher men) now with too wide and bland article's (plus there have been certain unpleasantness generated by that magazine that have hurt people i know)

 

suffice to say my subscription ran out at the begininng of the year and i wont be taking another out

 

In my opinion the magazine has not stayed true to it's roots, and when you forget who you are and where you are from you are truly lost

the last article i read in it was the best terrier for going to ground on rabbits.... it suggested a terrier of strong build would be needed to with stand the kick of a rabbit ... i only bought it once since that and i think that was last xmas because of the catalogues in it...

for some daft reason in the winter season i do pay £1.95 for it and it is as many have said full of adverts and dog sales etc.its goes up 5p every couple of weeks,but i still go back for more...........i must stop this daft ritual and watch paint dry or something.

i buy it every week wish it was more lurcher terrier ferret but you cant beat these forums for info on any subjected

take out the advertising and there,s little info in it. as for the adverts for super dogs 18 champions 30 odd wins ect, borders for £450, once in a life times chance to use my stud dog. it realy is crap.

I get it every week, and have done since it was the shooting news, times have changed, and the CW has adpted to this, there is so much more to the countryside than just killing, and the CW reflects this, if it isnt your thing, then dont buy it
