have just been talking to a mate, an we were wondering what stud dogs you would use over a bitch if you could

 

any dog, past or present, what type a dog an what would it add to he mix

or if it was a deer bitch or an allrounder, an if aint a famous dog... why

and id choose a nice half bred collie grey as we all know the are the best dogs out there

i have my 8 year old collie hound for foxes and hes well proven in my eyes and il be looking for a bitch to put him to in the near future .Id like to put him to a nice half cross bullxhound ,a racey type if possible .A bitch around 27 or 28 inches would be nice and she would have to have maybe 4 years graft .Thats just my choice pal

Dont know if this is a valid answer but hear goes! My bitch for example is 25 1/2 inches 1/4 bull airedale 3/4 grey mainly used for rabbit, big rabbit and no eye deer, she can hold a fox, maybe kill it if given a chance to tool on for 3-4 mins but not for me! I would be after a heavy dog thats 100% on fox and big rats to add that little bit strength, maybe lack a little pace than the bitch but should be good for most jobs!

when l picked dog for my bitch last year l picked dog that l seen work and in my eyes one best all rounders l have seen because l looking a pup that can take most quarry and not just breed for one thing or another

just wondering geniune whats your bitch like as i,ve bred my bitch with a dog that had airedale in it..the dam was bull x deerhound grey and the sire well known dog from scotland called cob bull x airedale his grandfather was the pie dog,just wondering what airedale adds to the mix .....cheers ...dh

my wee bitch is 24tts racy quick bitch, and i can honestly say that if im out with her and all was legal quarry as in rabbit hare deer and charlie, theres nothing i couldnt slip her on that she wont have a go at, now she is a fine framed thing and next year im putting a 28tts deer/grey/collie over her just to give the pups that little bit more than she is, the sire is not the greatest but he is good and tackles anything,

ive just had my bullx bitch mated to a bull /coalie /greyhound dog thats getting on in life but is still out every saturday and sunday working foxes and ive been out with him for the last 4 seasons and seen him doing his job
