The one 8,472
You need to try a dog to mark the burrows where theres rabbits saves loads of time trying empty holes ,saying that i think numbers are down in a few places Quote Link to post
Ideation 8,216
Have noticed with this warm weather there are still a lot sitting out on the top during the day. Also we have had 1000's of acres smashed by what we think is RHD. And folk starting their lamping season end of june doesn't help! Quote Link to post

wunwin 0
Went out for the first time this season. Not a huge amount about, pushed as many out of bushes as got out of buries. gave the dog a few good runs. Always the same this time of year, more above ground than below.Roll on the frosts!! The one 8,472
I was out all day yesterday with two jills and six kits took about a hour for them to work every burrow only got a few done and not many rabbits ,went up at night with the lamp and the rimmy saw 50 rabbits easy .looks like its goping to be a good season when the frosts finally come Quote Link to post
oakey 57
It's the same here not many rabbit's and that is after last year when we did't do that much it's got to be a stronger form of mixie Quote Link to post
PeakOil 352
Numbers are seriously down on my permissions this year. Quote Link to post
Jamie m 668
Hi all we have picked up quite a bit of new permision this season not been ferreted before so there's plenty bolting , we went to a permision earlly September we had hit the year before bolted one rabbit all day . As far as I can see ferreting is rabbit control so therefore if there's no rabbits then it's been controled , add on top of that mixy and taking out the breeding population prior to breeding season then I see it as job done unless you have permision on places with serious infestations like in south east England not saying where, then your not going to get more than a few rabbits the next season if any at all , they can't breed if there not there .
