COURT SUMMONS HELP NEEDED ASAP

Ive just received a court summons to attend a local court this month from an incident that happened last month.

I was out walking one of the dogs in a local park, and she was off the lead, an altercation happened betwen my dog, and one of hers, while this was happening the owner and friend of the other dog started to kick my dog repeatedly.

I eventually got my dog back.

I was later stopped and cautioned for having her out of control.

I apologised to the owner in a local shop who said he had been bitten, and showed me a scratch on his foot that he needed a tetnus for.

I thought this was the end of it, now ive got this summons.

What should i do.

Hi bud was the other dog on or off the lead..Any signs up in the park saying if the all dogs should be kept on a lead at all times.

The other dog was on the lead, and there are signs up, but i dont think near where it happened, and it was nearly dark at the time.

Sounds like you could be f****d if there are signs up, dont think you'll get away with "it was dark" as an excuse...

We all wish the guy the best of luck.May be just a silly mistake.But unfortunately it down to the law.

mistakes happen and at the end of the day dogs are dogs and they dont allways get on.

Just out of interest what would you do if somebodys dog took a hold of your dog...........

 

he didnt actually say "his dog had taken a hold of there dog", he just said an altercation had taken place with one of her dogs, which i assumed was a bit of boistreous f*****g about, thus giving me the impression the repeated kicking was a little extreme, but regardless of fault if 2 people are reeatedly kicking my dog i aint gonna stand by and watch
