Hey all, from Mexico

Hi guys, I just registered and thought i'd introduce myself real quick.

I live in Guadalajara Jalisco, Mexico. I´m 24 years old and i've been a falconer for 4 years. I have flown Harris Hawks mostly, all sorts, cresche reared, eyass, imprints, passage and haggard. I used to have German short haired pointers but don't have the time anymore, i'll share pics if anyone is interested hehe. My main prey is hare/jackrabbits but I also enjoy hunting duck, egrets, coots, squirrels, rabbits and such.

Anyway, that´s pretty much it. Here are some pics I hope you enjoy. If you have any questions feel free to ask, this seems like a friendly forum so I look forward to hanging around here, getting to know some of you and sharing info. Cheers!

Hey guys, thanks for the warm welcome hehe. No I don´t eat the egrets or the coots haha, i only eat the hare, bunnies, ducks and the occasional opposum (caught with my dogs not hawks).

And Jasper, what do you mean by nice seeing someone use a hood? Are hoods being used less and i´m not aware of it? :icon_eek: haha

Right now i´m hunting with a 4 year old eyass FHH, my brother has a second year MHH and his girlfriend a 3 year old FHH, both also eyass so i´ll keep the hunting pics coming, i´m probably gonna be heading out once or twice a week.

Cheers

Not many making Hawks/Buteo's to the Hood these days over here! most seem to do fine without them. personaly Hooding is the only way I know with a Parent Reared Hawk! it benefits me and the hawk expecially in the early stages...

Cheers
