8shot 192
we moniter them here in Devon and not seen any yet, day or night.....and even if we did its definitely too early to be (morally) shooting them in their newly migrated and light condition .....give them a chance to get here, get rested and fed. i seen a few whilst out beating the other day farlap where you from ??? as i no a gamekeeper that keeps some feathers and sends them off to a uni and apparntly they can tell exactly where they have been because of the dust in them or somthing

welshboy454 3
Just wondering if anyone has seen or shot any Woodcock yet. saw first one yesterday in northumberland. They are about in numbers now. Only saw the odd one for the previous couple of weeks but the full moon has done it again. First full moon in November is the old tale for them to arrive from the continent.
North Country Boy 0
Ive seen a fair few on 3 shoots that i go on, in notts, a few been shot but have to say not seen as many as last year where one shoot was absolutely teaming with em. I personaly dont shoot them anymore, would much rather see them get flushed & fly off.
