hunting_mad_jock_lad 1 Posted December 20, 2006 Report Share Posted December 20, 2006 hello there, ive got a bull cross off exactly the same breeding. hes 8 month old now but hes turning into a big strong dog. standing at 25 1/2 at the shoulder and still growing. at first i was told the same as you but now im beginning to wonder about the people who told me!!! hes a flying machine now and when he gets going he takes some stopping!!! just let him grow up and see what the future brings. thats [bANNED TEXT] i had to do. wife 1 Posted December 21, 2006 Report Share Posted December 21, 2006 as long as you dont want hin for hares which is now banned anyway he will be ok mate,dont listen to your mates,they most probaly jealous like one of these on here said,i got a big heavy cross and although he dont catch as many rabbits as most lurchers he does ok and puts rabbits in the bag,also jumps ok and retreives fox ok,see the thread Bull x pups by tufty,he is also catching rabbits in the day time when out bushing with russels and more than once has caught rabbits bolting across fields,your dog will do the job fine mate,it looks well nice,good luck with it Quote Link to post

Stabs 3 Posted December 21, 2006 Report Share Posted December 21, 2006 Alastair of here has got a monster of a bull cross, an absolute beast of a dog and it catches rabbits just fine! I was out with it last week on the lamp and I'm not joking, this animal looks like it's carved out of marble! It's got a head on it like a bucket but it doesn't half shift. Appearances can be deceptive especially at such a young age as yours. I wouldn't worry about it mate. Looks a nice dog Quote Link to post
